Suicide Prevention
To the editor:
I would like to bring up the topic of suicide. Suicide doesn’t get enough support. So I would like to help people realize that it’s a big issue in our community and around the world.
Did you know more than 5,000 people in the U.S.A commit suicide each year. It’s sad if you think about it. Some thing that trigger these thoughts are bulling, sexual and emotional abuse and your sexual orientation. (Bi, gay, lesbian). It doesn’t matter because you are who you are. These thoughts start out with depression then lead to self harm (cutting ect.), then finally thoughts of suicide/attempts.
I myself have gone through this and trust me it’s not easy to get through. I’ve also lost one of my bestest friends to suicide and it was really hard to take in. there is more to life. Family, friends, loved ones please ask for help. Talk to someone about it. Suicide is not the answer.
